Winemaker Toit Wessels, goes from success to success and yet refuses to settle for anything less than the best that comes out of the cellar. Then in 2003, the modern Ridgeback winery was built with a capacity of 300 tonnes. Today, total production is 16 000 carrots.

Rhodesian Ridgeback originates from South Africa, where legends and stories are told of its exploits and courage in the African bush while fighting lions. Their tenacity and ruggedness are symbolic of Africa's pioneering spirit. The pedigree, character and stature of this formidable animal is reflected in local wines that focus on massive and full-bodied profiles.
