Welcome to Good Hope Wines! We have prepared this package as an introduction not only to South Africa, but also about us. In fact, the package includes a free 4+2 wine set, but the wines don't stop there! The package also includes a laminated map of South Africa's wine regions, Good Hope Wines magazine for winter 2024/2025 and a 15% discount on your next purchase in our e-shop.

The wines in the package represent our portfolio and we have taken great care to make this selection interesting for you. It therefore contains still dry wines from 6 wineries and 6 different varietal wines. You will find the now world famous Sauvignon Blanc from the Southern Right winery in Walker Bay in the new 2024 vintage and a typical Chenin Blanc with a touch of wood from our beloved small winery Rijk's. Then from the red wines, the elegant, fruity and organic Merlot of the Signature series from Spier Wine Farm, the aged Pinotage from Jeremy Walker's winery (Grangehurst), which is only releasing its wines after a few years, the classic style Cabernet Sauvignon from the famous small producer Le Riche and finally the red blend "Optima" from Anthony Rupert, with whom the famous Baron Rotschild of Bordeaux has joined forces.

About us

Our journey to importing South African wines began with a happy accident and a mutual friend from Canada. Ivo had already brought a few wineries to the Czech Republic years ago, but due to his life in South Africa, he did not have enough time to fully pursue this passion. Matouš has worked in wine sales as a sommelier and salesman for almost 15 years. Even during his first job, his dream of owning his own wine import business was already taking shape.

In the spring of 2024, we met for the first time, and through a commonality not only in business vision, but also in human values and worldview, we founded Good Hope Wines and embarked on our first journey together to 50 wineries in South Africa. Our company is built on the principles that we ourselves value: honesty, integrity, hard work and a belief in goodness.
